MEGA EXHIBITION – 2025 ICT ZONE

Objective:

  • To provide students with a platform to showcase their talents and creativity
  • To encourage practical learning through project-based activities
  • To provide more clarity on their ICT subject via their working models
  • To build awareness of sustainability and innovation in everyday life

Introduction:

The Mega exhibition – 2025 was successfully conducted three days on 4th, 5th and 6th of June 2025 in our school under the visionary leadership of our respected principal Rev.Brother.S.E.Reginold FSC. And it was a grant event made possible by the support of our school Vice principals, Deputy Principals, Sectional heads, academic and non-academic staffs, students, parents, old students and all well-wishers. This grant educational exhibition has stood out as a historic milestone that will forever remain in the hearts of everyone.

A special section was dedicated to ICT zone, where students demonstrated their robotic innovations by using Arduino kits and subject oriented displays creatively. Exhibits were divided into different sections, each focused on a core area of technology as follows;

  • Robotics & automation
  • AI apps
  • Web Development & Programming
  • Subject related working models
  • Gaming & virtual reality
  • Photoshoot

Participation and involvement:

More than 50 students contributed to the exhibition, working in team under guidance of the ICT teachers. The planning and execution of the exhibits took about 3 weeks and students worked after school hours to refine their ideas and presentations. Parents and our technology stream old students were providing their full support to our zone.

Feedback and outcomes:

The exhibition attracting over 15,000 visitors including nearest school students, university students, old students, parents, zonal education officials, and community members. And it drew an enthusiastic response from everyone.

All visitors appreciated the students’ efforts and creativity. Many visitors were particularly impressed by the students’ confidence and communication skills during the presentation. All guests appreciated the students’ innovative approaches to sustainability.

We presented a key- tag, a e-waste mug and their photo shoot print to our guests as our gift.

And we collected visitors’ digital comments via QR code and written comments too. The followings are some of them.

Conclusion:

The Mega exhibition -2025 was a grand success, providing students with the platform to showcase the creative and intellectual talents of them. The exhibition was a valuable learning experience that fostered innovation, team work, technological thinking and presentation skills among students.

It successfully encouraged students to explore their ideas on how technology can be used to make life better and smarter.

02.ROBOTIC COMPETITION – 2025

Zonal Level:

The Zonal Level School Robotics and Invention Competition – 2025 was held today (2025-07-21) at Zonal Education Office, Kalmunai.  11 students had taken part in this competition and out of them four students were selected for the Provincial Level Competition.

Provincial level:

The Provincial Level School Robotics and Invention Competition – 2025 was held today (2025-09-06) at BT/ Mahajana College, Batticaloa.

Three students secured Merit Awards, and one student achieved Second Place. The student who obtained the Provincial Second has been selected to participate in the National Level Competition.

National Level:

The All Island Robotic and Invention Competition -205 National Level School was held today (2025-09-25) at Ape Gama, Battaramulla. In this competition Miss.Thilagarajah Thinanya has received Female award under Invention-Entertainment category.
